No.2 High School of Jinan 2006-11-27

On the afternoon of the 25th Oct. 2006, under the lead of headmaster Eira Kasper , three teachers from Vaskivuori Upper Secondary school visited our school for the third time. We both sides have had five such exchanges and friendly communication since we signed the friendship agreement in Oct. 2003. This time, besides our old friend Principal Mrs Eira Kasper, the delegation has two other teachers, Mr. Marko Kalmari teaching art and media, and Mr. Petteri Granat teaching history, sociology and philosophy.
We held a warm welcome ceremony in the conference room on the second floor of the multimedia building. First, our headmaster Fu Lei addressed the welcome ceremony and looked back upon the mutual exchanges, and then he gave the introduction to the development of our school since 2005, and at last he extended his sincere greetings and wishes to the teachers and students of Vaskivuori Upper Secondary school. Principal Mrs Eira also introduced their school's changes: they have combined with another senior high school with 850 students so that their school now is ranked among the seven largest high schools in Finland. It is a big challenge for Mrs Eira Kasper to have the school develop further. The renovation of their school will be finished before 2007. At present, some of teachers and students have their classes in a temporary building. Mrs. Eira Kasper gave us the sincere regards of Deputy Mayor of Vantaa Mr. Aulis Pitkala, Education Director Mrs Paula Ylostalo-Kuronen and Mr. Jukka Lehtinen as well as other teachers and students. After that, both sides exchanged gifts. Our deputy principal Wang ping, Yang Jianguo also attended the welcome ceremony.
