No.2 High School of Jinan 2006-11-27

On the afternoon of Oct.25, Mrs Eira Kasper ,principal of our sister-school ,together with the other two foreign guests, attended an art public class given by Guo Yan, an art teacher in our school. In this class, which is named Chinese Folk Art , Mrs Guo used lively material to show Chinese Folk Art, such as couplet, new year pictures, clay figurines, shadow play, kite and other typical folk toys .The foreign guests practiced paper-cut with Chinese students .Principal Mrs Eira Kasper said in Finland it was only at Christmas that people made snowflake with white paper and pasted it on the window.
This class was well received. They all thought it could fully develop the students’ ability to do and to create, to learn by doing, and in the meantime, to expand Chinese traditional culture and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.
