No.2 High School of Jinan 2006-7-5
On June 28 to July 5, 400 principals
from primary and high schools in America visited China at the invitation
of the National Language Committee. The visiting group, headed by Mr.
Steven Paine , commissioner of the Education Bureau in West Virginia
of America, visited Jinan No.2 High School on the afternoon of July
3.
Mr. Ma Baoshan, principal of Jinan No. 2 High School , welcomed the
honored guests on behalf of the whole school and introduced the school
briefly . Mr. Steven Paine expressed his thanks for the warm reception
of Jinan No.2 High School and spoke highly of the school management
and the achievements it has achieved. Mr. Steven Paine said that he
was really deeply impressed with the education in Jinan during their
visit here and he was greatly touched by parents¡¯ and teachers¡¯ support
for education. In his opinion, the school environment is very beautiful,
people are very friendly and students in Jinan are very excellent. At
last, he hopes to have further communication in the future.
After the welcome ceremony, they were shown around the school and enjoyed
the wonderful performance by students. During their visit, the visiting
members had enjoyable talks with some of our English teachers, Chinese
teachers and students.
In the evening, leaders of Jinan Education Bureau Cheng Dongsheng, Fu
zhiqing and Yang Quanhai, together with other leaders from the Foreign
Affairs Office of Shandong Ministry of Education received and gave a
feast to the members in honor of their visit
This activity strengthened the Sino-American communication in education,
deepened the understanding of mutual languages and cultures and helped
American guests know Chinese culture and its development better.
